Rare Item: USA Natural Whetstone Soft + Black Hard (with oil), Brand New Unused

Rare Item: USA Natural Whetstone Soft + Black Hard [127x41x7mm] with Oil, New Unused
Natural whetstone from the USA. This is an Arkansas oil stone. A set of the rare natural stone Soft Arkansas and the ultra-rare Black Hard. Includes an unopened 4oz bottle of oil (approx. 120ml).
Comes with a dedicated wooden box and instruction manual. Unused item.

This set functions as a medium grit stone + ultra-fine finishing stone. Personally, I recommend using a Soft (finishing stone) or ceramic stone in between these two.

This is an oil stone. Once broken in and the oil has permeated, it will achieve a very fine finish.
As it is new, it is preferable to apply a generous amount of oil to the surface and let it soak in before use.
In terms of grit, this is for final finishing. The sequence would be: Diamond coarse grit -> Soft (medium grit) -> Hard (finishing grit) -> Fine Ceramic -> Black Hard.
These stones are becoming rarer each year, especially the Black Hard Arkansas Stone. Even at this size, it is considered quite large.
A used Arkansas oil stone is shown as a sample image. Once the oil has permeated this much, very little oil is needed during use.

The knife in the image sample is a 150mm petty knife. It is not included.
