What's on in March:

Friday 2nd Womens World Day of Prayer service, United Reformed Church. Tea/coffee from 10:30 am; service at 11:00 am.Men as well as women welcome!
Saturday 3rd 2nd Nationwide Quaker Day of Healing. 11am to 3pm. Although nothing has been organised in our Area Meeting, you may like to join Quakers nationwide in a Meeting for Worship during that time just where you are.
Sunday 4th Meeting for Worship and Children’s Meeting at 10.30 am followed at 12 noon by Local Meeting for Business. All welcome. Among other items, please come and bring your ideas for the Regional Gathering Fun Day on Saturday 30th June.
Saturday 10th Experiment with Light group at Stansted Meeting House, 10.30 to 12 noon.See also the concert in Cambridge at 3pm. below
Sunday 11th Meeting for Worship and Children’s Meeting at 10.30 am.
It will also be Area Meeting at Dunmow MH beginning at 12.45 after a light lunch.
During the Area Meeting, the main item will be a talk given by Tatiana Garavito, the project co ordinator of ‘Sanctuary Everywhere’. We shall also be hearing impressions of the recent Sanctuary Everywhere’ conference in Brussels by Loes Reeve. As we are now a Sanctuary Meeting, do come and learn more about the project. I know it’s Mothering Sunday, You will be back in time for tea!
Attenders are very welcome. Just let me know if you are coming. If you haven’t been to an area Meeting before, come and meet with the other Friends in our Area Meeting in the beautiful old meeting House at Dunmow and find out what happens at an Area Meeting. Book group 7.30pm at Judith’s, 10, Peaslands Rd. as usual. The book being read is Emma by Jane Austen. New members are most welcome.

Easter Arrangements

Good Friday, March 30th The Meeting House will be open from 10am for quiet reflection.
Walk of Witness. Assemble at United Reformed Church to set off at 10:30. Walk through the town centre to St Mary’s for a service aimed to start by 11:00 am, finished well before noon.

 A message from the Cambridge City of Sanctuary group
Dear City of Sanctuary Friends, There will be a concert on Saturday 10th March in aid of the Medaille Trust which provides refuges in the UK for trafficked women and men escaping traffickers. This is an annual concert which we can thoroughly recommend as it is always has a wonderful mixture of music, excellent refreshments and a chance to learn a little about the work of the Trust (http://www.medaille-trust.org.uk/). A Fundraising Concert will be held  on Saturday 10th March 2018 at 3.00pm
at the Memorial Church (Unitarian) in Emmanuel Road Cambridge (opposite Christ's Pieces)
Musicians from Cambridge Central Churches will provide a varied programme followed by refreshments
Admission is free but there will be a collection for the charity
